If you would like to transfer a domain from one domain registrar to another, you’ll have to pass through several safety procedures. One of them is obtaining a unique EPP code from the present registrar company – as long as you are the registrant, since the code is emailed to the domain owner’s mailbox and no one else can get it. You will have to give this code to the new domain name registrar, otherwise they won’t be able to start the domain transfer. The EPP codes are case-sensitive and may include numbers or special symbols such as commas or dots, which can be easily misentered, so make sure you copy/paste the right code. As an extra security measure, the transfer authorization code for a domain name may be reset regularly. Certain companies call this code a domain password, an Auth key or a domain secret as well.

EPP Transfer Protection in Website Hosting

If you have a website hosting, you have registered a domain through us and you want to transfer it away from us, you can obtain its EPP authorization code with less than a couple of clicks. When you sign in to your Hepsia Control Panel and go to the Registered Domains section, you will see all the domains that you’ve registered with our company shown alphabetically. On the right-hand side of each domain, you will notice a mini EPP icon for all generic and country-code Top-Level Domain extensions that need an EPP code in order to be transferred between domain registrars. Clicking the icon will email the EPP code to the domain name registrant’s email momentarily. In the exact same section you can also find and eventually change the email address, if the one there is not valid anymore.

EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Hosting

If you register a domain name under a semi-dedicated server account with our company, you’ll be able to get its EPP transfer authorization code with only one click, if you decide to transfer it to another domain name registrar. All it takes to achieve that is to log in to your Hepsia hosting Control Panel, to visit the Registered Domains section and to click on the EPP button, which will be on the right-hand side of the domain name. Of course, such a button will be available only if the respective generic or country-code top-level domain name extension supports transfers with an EPP code. Within a minute, an email message that contains the code will be sent to the registrant’s mailbox associated with that domain name. You can update the latter via the same section of the Control Panel – in case the one that is currently listed in the WHOIS details isn’t a valid one. As the change will propagate without any delay, you can request the EPP transfer code directly after that.
